Glowy, hydrated skin is in. With Summer at its start, it only makes sense that we’d want to “glow up” a bit for the season. These are some of my favorite products for achieving bronzed skin with a fresh glow, as well as some SPF to protect your skin against that strong Summer sun. Keep reading if you want to learn how to “glow up” for Summer!
Bronzing Shimmer Oil – CYO Cosmetics
This bronzing oil comes with a dropper so it’s perfect to apply anywhere you’d like. I personally like applying it on my shoulders, kind of like Rihanna did in her Makeup Routine video with VOGUE. Except she used her Body Lava. However, this product is perfect if you want to achieve a bronzy glow on a budget. This product is perfect for Summer and it’s super easy to use. Just add a few drops to your skin and blend it in with a makeup brush.
Jergens Natural Glow Tanning Mousse & Neutrogena SheerZinc SPF 30
These products are my top two for Summer. If you’re pale like me and have a hard time achieving a nice tan naturally, this self-tanner by Jergens is a must. It’s in the shade Light Bronze and it appears just like a natural tan would on the skin.
Now let’s talk about SPF. I’ll admit I used to neglect this, but over this past year I’ve learned how important it is. As someone who lives in a state where its in the 80s or above most the year, I’ve definitely suffered some sunburns just from walking around campus. Neutrogena’s SheerZinc is perfect for those with sensitive skin. It’s hypoallergenic so it likely won’t cause breakouts and it’s also dermatologist recommended.
L’Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation & Milani Baked Bronzer
I’ve mentioned Milani’s Baked Bronzer on my blog before. It’s one of my favorite bronzers because it’s buildable and the glow is subtle, but it makes your skin look healthy.
The True Match Lumi Foundation has become a must-have foundation for me. It’s not one that I use everyday, but for a drugstore foundation, it does a great job at providing coverage while looking natural. It’s a medium coverage foundation but you can definitely build it up to being full coverage. This foundation is must to achieving a healthy glow.
Herbal Essences Revitalize Dry Shampoo & Mario Badescu Facial Spray
Mario Badescu’s Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater is an essential for a lot of people. It’s a product that’s been around for a while and I’ve heard tons of beauty gurus talk about how this is a staple in their makeup routine. Not only is it perfect as a setting spray, but it’s great for those times where your skin is feeling dry and dull. I love spraying this product before and after my makeup routine to help maintain a glow and get rid of any excess powder.
Herbal Essences Revitalize Dry Shampoo with Cucumber & Green Tea is another must have product. Dry Shampoo is essential for in-between washes and just to leave your hair feeling fresh. It’s easy for your hair to get greasy or dry in the heat, and this product is perfect to just revitalize your hair
